JP8190: Deployable Bulk Fuel Logistics Tools

JP8190 is an Australian Defence Force (ADF) project focused on developing a Deployable Bulk Fuel Distribution capability. The new system will enable the ADF to distribute, store, and supply fuel to support deployed joint forces and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operations.

Our Role

  • Software systems design and architecture
  • Logistics workflow engineering and automation
  • Refuelling and infrastructure layout planning capability
  • Safety constraint modelling and validation logic
  • Integration with procurement and warehousing pipelines
  • Deployment installation guidance and user training

The Project

Calytrix has developed a logistics planning capability to streamline the design, validation, and delivery of complex, temporary infrastructure across defence and humanitarian operations. It enables users to visually plan refueling layouts in both 2D and 3D, apply safety and environmental constraints, estimate earthworks, and generate materials lists (Build of Materials – BOM) ready for procurement and warehousing – connecting operational intent with executable, on-ground outcomes in record time.

Originally focusing on deployable bulk fuel distribution, the capability can be applied to a wider range of logistical challenges, from forward operating base design and training area setup to emergency accommodation and construction layouts. It empowers planners to work faster and more intuitively, applying graphic-based configuration tools to rapidly model sites composed of diverse equipment and infrastructure components.
