Shawn is a pioneer in Australian Defence related simulation and has overseen the development of significant live, virtual and constructive integration activities for the ADF. He is committed to modernising training and ensuring that Calytrix remains at the forefront of delivering innovative training solutions. He remains actively focused on establishing strong partnerships within the defence sector and meeting the training and operational needs of our customers.

Tim, as Calytrix’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), brings over 20 years of expertise in distributed simulation technologies to our team. His focus spans processes, architecture, and the development and deployment of Calytrix’s advanced simulation systems and solutions.

Tim’s commitment to delivery is unparalleled. He ensures that every project benefits from his wealth of experience. Tim places a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and security—essential elements for success.

Tim holds a PhD and has worked as an active member of simulation industry groups both nationally and internationally via participation with the Simulation Industry Association of Australia (SIAA) and the Simulation Interoperability and Standards Organisation (SISO), previously as an appointed member on the SISO Standards Activity Committee (SAC).

Matt, as the Head of Calytrix’s Major Projects, draws upon 24 years of experience with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). His background spans operational, command, training, and instructional roles. Additionally, Matt boasts 15 years of expertise in commercial defence simulation.

Matt’s unwavering commitment extends to both our staff and customers. He prioritises people and training outputs, fostering a community of dedicated individuals around every project we embark upon. Matt’s leadership ensures that excellence and collaboration drive our endeavours

Matt oversees our major projects, liaising with customers and our internal PM staff to ensure our projects are consistently delivered on schedule, on budget and to the highest quality standard. Matt focuses our delivery teams towards training outputs and the end customer: often our defence force personnel. Matt has led Calytrix’s effort within HQ Joint Operations Command for 15 years and has a detailed understanding of the challenges and benefits of integrating simulation into large-scale training and exercise activities.

Andy is an accomplished manager, leader, and organisational analyst with a distinguished career spanning over 35 years in both the military and emergency management sectors. His unique blend of operational command experience, project delivery expertise, and training development know-how enables him to seamlessly integrate performance-based training solutions into systems delivery.

As a seasoned professional, Andy has actively participated in state-level committees, cultivating robust relationships across agencies and authorities. He understands that effective collaboration hinges on active listening and is committed to delivering sustainable outcomes that bridge capability gaps.
