Calytrix updates LVC Game with C2 Support

At Calytrix HQ out Engineers have been working hard over the Australian summer to help deliver significant new capability to our flagship products: CommNet Radio and LVC Game. Announced today, the latest releases deliver significant new capability, an improved user experience and better integration into common training packages such as Virtual Battlespace 3.

LVC Game v3.12

Calytrix’s LVC Game systems integration product provides DIS/HLA connectivity to Serious Games tools including VBS2/3, Steel Beasts, X-Plane and more. The new release focuses on providing a better user experience and supporting direct C2 stimulation from any supported LVC Game product.

New LVC Game Web Interface
The LVC Game Web Interface provides an easy-to-use configuration and monitoring tool for all LVC-enabled products. It allows users to inspect what is happening inside a simulation network, view the entities present and their state. It also provides a simple interface for common configuration tasks such as enumeration mappings and log file monitoring.

Since our last release, Calytrix has been working hard to deliver a new and better configuration experience for LVC Game. The new LVC Game Web Interface is central to this work. It includes an entirely new design and gives users clearer and deeper information than was previously available.

C2 Stimulation
Training tools such as VBS are often used as low-overhead drivers to stimulate Command and Control systems as part of training exercises. To achieve this stimulation a secondary bridge that will convert from DIS/HLA into the desired C2 protocol is often required, adding additional configuration overhead and deployment requirements.

As part of LVC Game v3.12 Calytrix has been working with the US Marine Corps to develop a direct-stimulation capability for tools that support the OTH-GOLD protocol such as C2PC. Through this interface, a properly configured VBS3 instance will be able to directly stimulate supported C2 system without an intermediary. This capability has been developed as a standalone add-on for the standard LVC Game product. Customers interested in this capability should contact Calytrix Support via sales@calytrix.com.
