Calytrix Mentor™ was used as part of the exercise management system on Talisman Saber 09. Deployed across the DTEN, in Australia, and the JTEN, in the US, the tool enabled exercise planners to gain greater understanding of upcoming events. Utilising the Synchronisation Matrix and the Inject tool exercise control staff were able to increase their situational awareness by having a clear understanding of what was occurring in the exercise design. Colonel Phil Harris, the Chief Umpire of the exercise remarked that, ‘Mentor provided the umpire group with current situational awareness that just wasn’t available on previous exercises.’
