Calytrix Awarded GOANNA Support Contract

Building on its proven track record and past involvement with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), Calytrix is pleased to announce that it was just named the successful bidder on this year's support contract for the Generic Open Architecture for New Naval Applications (GOANNA).

Back in 2005 DSTO and Calytrix worked closely on implementing and delivering the GOANNA Development Kit (GDK). Its objective is to develop an infrastructure that allows Defence to make more effective and efficient use of industry efforts and IP in the development of new and enhanced capabilities for the Collins class submarine Combat System (CS) (Tactical Command and Control (TCC) and SONAR).

Since its first release in January 2006, and under directions from DSTO HMAS Stirling in the past 2 years, Calytrix has further enhanced the GDK by refining and adding new capabilities to its rich framework. This year, we will concentrate on providing DDS communications and JAVA capabilities to GOANNA, which will directly contribute to several SONAR applications running under the GDK.
