USMC buys LVC Game

The US Marine Corps (USMC) has purchased a perpetual enterprise license of Calytrix’ LVC Game software to interface the Marines’ simulation and training systems. In particular, LVC Game will interface VBS2-based interactive 3D visualizations with the USMC’s Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) and external High Level Architecture (HLA) based systems, including Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF). In this arrangement, LVC Game bridges SAF and visual systems with bidirectional entity and weapons states, positions, movements, actions and other data exchanges. The USMC’s purchase of LVC Game includes multi-year technical support.

In addition, the USMC contracted Calytrix for configuration and technical assistance for the upcoming Virtual Joint Fires Interoperability Training (VJFIT) military exercise. In that exercise, LVC Game will interface with USMC and US Air Force simulators, involving military aspects of forward observing, close air support, and convoy operations.
