New Zealand Defence Synthetic Environment

The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) is in the process of developing the Army Synthetic Environment (ASE). The ASE has been designed to support a heterogeneous simulation environment to meet the evolving and future training and simulation requirements of the NZDF.

The ASE Version 1.0 is to focus on the delivery of a Battle Simulation (BATSIM) capability to support up to Brigade level command post exercises. Calytrix Technologies has been approached to provide technical integration and delivery services for the ASE program.

Calytrix has been selected due to its strong background in the Defence simulation industry; including practical experience in the delivery of HLA and other simulation systems, its background in performance-based training assessment, and the development of similar synthetic environments to the ASE. </section> </article>
