NUSHIP BALLARAT Training
Phase II Mentor trials were conducted from the 24th May to the 3rd June 2004 at the Maritime Warfare Training Center (MWTC) at HMAS Watson in Sydney, Australia. The trials involved the crew of the NUSHIP BALLARAT. Unlike CReaMS which focused on coalition training, BALLARAT trials focused on single ship, single crew training.
This release of Mentor:
- Implemented new requirements based on lessons learned during Sep '03 CReaMS.
- Reworked the Mentor user interface for 'ease of use'.
- Supported the planning of training scenarios and serials in the tool.
- Improved report generation facilities, including the ability to have multiple reports.
Mentor Phase II will form the basis of the upcoming Mentor Beta trials.
The phase II trials proved very successful, with Mentor being recommend for further trials and roll-out within the RAN.
